True White: Pure White SW 7005

Pure white is a true white paint color we like to use for painting cabinet colors, baseboards, crown molding, wainscotting, and doors in a satin or semi-gloss will make this color shine. This color is a classic elegant white.

Off-White: Alabaster SW 7008

Alabaster is a great off-white option if you tend to want a warm based white. This color is more subtle than a bright white for a soft white finish. We like to use this color for cabinets, closets, bathrooms walls for a clean look. Great color to brighten a small space.

White Heron SW 7627

White Heron is really underrated color and we love to use this color for walls. White walls are trending but choosing the right white can be difficult. This color perfectly paired with a Pure White baseboards and molding will make your space feel larger, cleaner, and brighter. The contrast is simple and stylish.

Creamy White: Natural Choice SW 7011

Natural Choice is a great color especially if you like a creamy tan white. Depending on the natural light within your home and space, this color will look white with a touch of tan. It is beautiful and will warm up any space.

Greige White: Crushed Ice SW 7647

Crushed Ice is the perfect paint color if you want to have a subtle gray tone paint color. With just a hint of gray this color pairs well with Pure White and will make your space feel more spacious as if you have increased your square footage. Crushed ice is crisp, clean without feeling sterile.

Here are a few designer tips:

Painting your ceilings white will make your ceilings feel taller and room feel larger. We recommend choosing a lighter shade of white than your walls for the subtle contrast. This is also true when painting small rooms with light whites, which can make your space feel larger than it seems. White really tricks the eyes! Add your favorite bold colors to make your white wall pops and accents become focal point of your space.

Want to more natural light to your home? Change your light bulbs temperature from 2700 Kelvins to a higher temperature of 3000-3500 Kelvins. Have a super dark home with little to no natural light, go with a bright white bulb ranging from 4000-5000 Kelvins. With this higher temperature bulbs add a dimmer adjust your lighting as you need. Most homes use a warm/soft light bulb that are most likely 2700 Kelvins and will change the colors throughout your home. Lightbulbs reflect light and will change the color of your paint. If you want you white walls to be a warmer shade, you can use a warm light bulbs with 2700 kelvin temperature.

One last tip and it’s a BIG one! Do your walls have a lot of texture? If so and you want to lessen that textured look on those walls, you will want to choose a paint finish will less of shine or gloss. We like Sherwin Williams Satin & Low Gloss Eg-Shel Finishes. The less gloss you see the less imperfections you will notice.
